This time of year can be bittersweet, as our minds swirl with memories of Christmases past, and people we miss…this one’s for the more reflective, melancholy days of the season. This is Getting By (This Christmas) 🖤

During the height of the pandemic, I co-wrote this song with my mom. We were remembering my grandfather, who passed at Christmas time, as well as reflecting on that past year of isolation. I released a demo version then, recorded in my closet with me playing all the instruments, but I always felt led to give this song the studio treatment…so I saved up, and we finally made it happen.
